About Us - Lions fact: over 27 million third world eye operations have been funded by the Lions

Wellesbourne & District Lions Club invites men and women from all walks of life, over 18 years of age and of any or no special ability. The only criteria which pertains is you must be of good character and willing to agree to some basic club conditions.

The most important aspect of this club is its ability to raise money whilst having fun doing so. But we are not limited to just fundraising - we encourage service projects which will involve our time and effort rather than just the giving of a cheque. No matter how much or how little time you may be able to contribute, or what skills and experience you may have we can always welcome new volunteers to join us.

Our community projects focus on local, carefully researched, needs.

Contributing goods or funds, often in partnership with other Lions Clubs, charities and organisations, we are proud to be a last resort source of help when other avenues have been tried.

Within our Club there are various positions which it is hoped new members will fill in due course, so giving some of our longer serving members a rest, but also developing the newer recruits into becoming fuller and more rounded members. The Lions attach some importance to making new members aware of the whole Lions organisation the whole Lions structure locally, nationally and internationally via Lions Clubs International, the World’s largest service organisation.
